We sell the red spotted leopardskin discus at a 3 inch size. At this size the red spots are evident. At times we have them available at a smaller size. Each red spotted leopardskin discus fish we ship is carefully prepared prior to shipment. We fast the discus fish for a day and perform a large water change to clean them out so the shipping water remains clean. The leopardskin discus fish are double bagged in 4 mil. thick bags with a liner between the shipping bags. The shipping bags are filled with shipping water, oxygenated and placed in a styrofoam box. The insulated styrofoam boxes are placed into cardboard boxes. State of the art heat packs are used to maintain a constant temperature for the discus. There is an art to properly shipping discus and our years of experience ensure your discus will arrive in fine condition. In Colorado we developed a winter shipping technique that is second to none. We have the expertise to ship your discus in very cold weather with excellent results.We do ship year round.

Rocky Mountain Discus Hatchery began as a full time state licensed discus hatchery in Colorado in 1989. A state licensed discus hatchery follows strict protocol and is periodically subject to unannounced inspections. Every inspection of our discus hatchery and discus fish yielded perfect scores in all areas. Rocky Mountain Discus Hatchery moved to Indiana in 2001. We continue to adhere to strict standards in our discus fish care. We offer quality discus fish for sale by mail order or visitation to our discus showroom.
